East of Vancouver is Camas and Round Lake Park. This surprisingly scenic park features a raging creek with waterfalls, and thick forest dripping with moss. This is a great place for a hike in the winter. We got about two feet of snow Christmas week last year and since we couldn't go to work we went for a hike.
By Christmas day we had two feet of snow on the ground so we went out back and built our first snowman in years.
