This stretch of road is a scenic drive with beaches and forest, but not nearly as scenic as the Pacific Coast side. The north coast has smaller beaches that are rockier and smelly with seaweed, and only light forest. I did this in the afternoon, after the drive up Hurricane Ridge, so I didn't have a lot of time to explore the area.
Washington 2006
Day two included a drive from Port Angeles west along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. This scenic drive passes numerous small beaches and towns.
