Hiking above Latrelle Falls in the Gorge.
Latrelle Falls is perhaps the prettiest waterfall in the gorge, falling off an overhanging cliff one hundred feet above. But it also has a nice trail to even more falls and cascades above the main falls.

Hiking above Oneota Falls in the Gorge.
The trail just west of Oneota loops around to a view point over the canyon and farther up to a creek full of rapids in the forest.

Hiking scenic Eagle Creek.
The long trail up Eagle Creek passes by Punchbowl Falls, which is a moderate size waterfall in a big bowl, and then above to even more falls and forest.

Portland Travels 2005       This summer I did a few hikes in the Gorge to some of the attractions a little farther off the highway, including: Hiking above Latrelle and Oneota Falls, and Hiking up scenic Eagle Creek to Punchbowl Falls.
