Forty miles west of Colorado Springs, the Platte River cuts through rugged Elevenmile Canyon, making this one of the most exciting locations in the region for hiking, biking, climbing, camping or fishing. The dam holds back Elevenmile Reservoir, a beautiful six mile lake that's popular with fisherman.
